About

MyNameIsBrandon written by…well, Brandon. That’s me. So let me be the first to welcome you to MyNameIsBrandon.com. A little about me…

I am, first and foremost, a Christian. I also happen to be the campus minister at Christian Campus House, which serves at Northwest Missouri State University. I am just getting started at CCH, but have served in various ministry capacities for nearly 7 years.

But more than that, I am a family-man. My wife is Keri. She is a wonderful woman and stays at home, raising our three children and managing our household.

I enjoy sports, specifically baseball and football. I enjoy coffee. I enjoy reading. I enjoy learning and have started working on my Master’s degree. I enjoy other things, of which you will learn if you stick around for awhile.

So, please do just that…stick around. Share with me while I share with you. Consider this a safe place for all sorts of ideas.

(By the way, this blog is all my thinking. Don’t blame my campus ministry for anything you read here that you may not agree with…)

Hi Brandon:

Since I’ve discovered the ESV I’ve been using it on my website and in my other Bible teaching ministry even though the NIV is still the popular version. If we believe that Christians should get as close to the original as possible shouldn’t we do what we can to introduce others to the ESV and try to increase its use? Perhaps the Lord will multiply our efforts and make it the popular choice.

Yours in Christ.

Brandon,

I read the book ‘The Gospel According to Moses.’ It wasn’t quite what I expected it to be, but it was an insightful book. The man who wrote it has a lot of courage to do what he did (or does). I would recommend it to most readers, and to all preachers. I’m glad you are reading it. Let me know what you think.

Hey Brandon,
I just stumbled over here from somewhere, I’m lost most of the time, digging the blog.
